Shortly after my father passed away in 1996, I decided to postpone law school for a year. I felt like I was not ready to face the hard grind of competitive academics so soon after my loss, and I began thinking about a good way to carry on his legacy. You see, both my parents loved traveling, each having lived overseas for many years. I had been abroad with my father several times, and it seemed another trip would be a good way to memorialize our relationship and in some way, show myself what I had learned from him about travel and life. I decided to travel through Latin America because I already had some proficiency in Spanish. I was away from home for over four months, and I fell in love with long-term travel and the opportunities it provides. I hope this page introduces you to some of the beauties of that area of the world. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to send some email to me at [email protected] |
